Scuff Resistance Tester is an Equipment to evaluate the print quality / rub proof ness of prints. Good Print Quality is a perfect combination of Good Ink + Good paper + Good Process + Good Drying. If any of the above factors go wrong , the result can be disastrous . The most commonly used method to evaluate print quality is by rubbing two printed surface against each other. However, if this is done manually the amount of pressure applied during rubbing cannot be quantified and kept constant . Moreover, it is difficult to keep the plane of contact constant and keep a track of the number of rubs. Hence requirement of an equipment to do this accurately.

Paramount Scuff Resistance Tester i9 (Digital) is an ergonomically designed equipment with sturdy mechanism to get accurate & reliable results. It rubs two printed surface against each other ( face-to-face) in the same plane, at the same speed , under a constant rubbing pressure. The rub test equipment is used in Paper & Packaging industries to evaluate color transfer from printed or coated surface during rubbing. The Equipment is pre-set for the number of strokes. After the required number of strokes , the samples are examined for any signs of ink transfer or scuffing
